After receiving a degree in documentary filmmaking from Emerson College, Cheryl Ryan moved to Washington,D.C. to pursue her career. She has worked in live television, on small budget independent features and big budget Hollywood features. Cheryl is also an active member of the Washington Chapter of Women in Film and Video (WIFV) and ITVA-DC. As production assistant at Double R Productions, Cheryl assists in all aspects of the production process. She coordinates the logistics of shoots and acts as liaison with Double R's clients. She conducts research, obtains B-roll, logs tapes and supervises student intern projects.

Some of her travels with Double R include a weeklong trip to New York and Connecticut coordinating shoots for America's Community Bankers, as well as a week in Research Triangle, North Carolina helping with "The Sister Study" video. She also worked closely with the editing of a project for the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP). More recently, she has been working on a project through the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington that brings together WIFV, Arlington Independent Media and Double R to produce arts programming for the DC area.
