Rosemary Reed is President and owner of DOUBLE R PRODUCTIONS.  Founded in 1987 and celebrating 20 years as Double R this year, the communications and television production company has served clients as varied as major national newspapers, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, associations and local arts organizations.

Reed established her reputation in Washington, DC working for the FOX network as the executive producer of "Panorama," the nation's longest-running, live, daily talk show with Maury Povich. She also produced the first weekend news hour for WTTG-TV (FOX) in Washington. Reed’s career as a reporter, anchor and special projects television producer/director has covered all major regions of the country. Her broadcast assignments have taken her abroad to witness crisis situations in Israel and El Salvador. Now through Double R, Reed has produced internationally from Cambodia and Russia to Mexico and Belgium. She began her media career as a radio station news director.

Reed’s work has been recognized through awards from American Women in Radio & Television, UPI, AP, the National Education Association, the US Industrial Film & Video Association, the International Monitor Awards, the Axiem, Millennium and Communicator Awards. She has won numerous Telly Awards and has served on the Board of Governors for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in Washington, DC, winning a local Emmy for her writing/producing on a broadcast special. She has won a CINE Golden Eagle and was awarded an Aurora Award, a Davey Award and an ITVA Peer Award for her outstanding video on breast cancer research.

Reed has served as vice president and public relations chair on the board of a DC-based creative dance troupe, the Dance Exchange. She works with DC’s Cultural Alliance (CAGW) as a Business Volunteer for the Arts and received the BVA of the Year Award, continuing as a BVA advisory council member. Double R is one of the sponsoring organizations for the CAGW’s broadcast program, The Arts Show & Tell. She served as MC for Executive Women International’s convention and was named the Internship Supervisor of the Year for The Washington Center. Reed was also an elected DC delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business, and was an appointed regional implementation coordinator for regulation and paperwork, testifying before the Senate Small Business Committee and helping coordinate a historic trip to Russia by the delegation. 

She has served as the president of DC’s Women in Film & Video, an 800-member professional organization. Reed was named a “Woman of Vision” by WIFV at their annual gala in 2001. She is now serving on the Advisory Board for Partners4Education, an early college awareness program for disadvantaged youth.

Her media experience both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, an academic background in theatre and speech, plus teaching experience on the high school and college levels provide Rosemary with ideal qualifications for media training.  Satisfied clients include CEOs, nationally recognized authors, ambassadors for the US Department of State and other government agency personnel.
