Double R Shares The Road With The American Trucking Association
Washington, D.C. October 27, 2004
Double R Productions teamed up with Gene Lundgren and
Aquarian Entertainment to produce four videos for the American Trucking
Association's MC&E Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition
Double R's Mike Hurdelbrink provided the live video direction for the Oct.
2nd-6th conference.
Double R's crew traveled to Chicago, Salt Lake City, The
Homestead Resort in Virginia, and Las Vegas to shoot footage and interviews.
Freelance producer, Teresa Gionis produced three of the four videos including:
- America's Road Team, the industry's safest truck drivers from across
the US.
- American Transportation Research Institute, a research report summary
illustrating the many serious issues in the trucking world.
- Share The Road Program, designed to raise awareness of "blind spots" and
other critical driving tips for cars and trucks to share the road safely.
Interviews included Volvo's Scott Kress, Senior Vice President of Marketing
and Sales, Paul Vikner, President and CEO of Mack Trucks, and many members
of America's Road Team.
The fourth video was produced by Mike Hurdelbrink bringing light comedy
to a piece showing ATA Chairman Fred Burns' travels throughout his year as
chairman. Nicole Zwick, a Washington Center intern with Double R gathered
stock footage and stills and worked as a production assistant on the ATA
Chairman video. Double R's Senior Editor, Michael Gionis added art direction
to his editing and received compliments from ATA for "the best videos we
have had in many years".
"Double R has a long history with Aquarian Entertainment,
and we teamed up to create one of the best ATA shows ever," reflected Double
R's Mike Hurdelbrink.
