GOSPELROBICS DEBUTS ON MBC AND THE WORD NETWORK

October 30, 2003, Washington, D.C.-Gospelrobics, a weekly health and
lifestyle television series which elevates the spirit through Gospel music,
premieres on the Major Broadcasting Cable (MBC) Network and The
Word Network this week. Gospelrobics promotes a healthy Mind, Body,
Spirit connection in 30-minute aerobic workouts set to Gospel music.
Gospelrobics debuted on the MBC network on Monday, October 27 at
9:00 a.m. and will air again on Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. Atlanta-based MBC is
the only African-American owned 24-hour cable television channel devoted
to wholesome family programming for America's urban viewer. The series will
appear on The Word Network on Mondays at 7:00 a.m. Gospelrobics will
be available to more than 30 million homes nationwide on these two new distribution
outlets.
Gospelrobics, created by Double R Productions President
Rosemary Reed, is a new concept in health and lifestyle programming to help
fight obesity and prevent obesity-related illnesses. "The Gospel beat is
the perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise. Moreover, Gospel music
is a rapidly growing genre of popular music. Its spiritual impact extends
beyond the traditional religious audience to reach into the main stream," said
Reed.
Minister Regie Thornton, a certified aerobics instructor, hosts the show.
While leading his audience in exercise, he often asks his viewers, "Are you
fit for the call and pumped for purpose?" The program also contains a segment
which brings viewers the latest health-related news and initiatives and includes
informative interviews with spiritual and fitness advocates.
"This show will inspire the most inveterate couch-potato to get up and move," said
