Double R Lends a Hand to “All Hands on Deck”

Double R's 2011 summer interns Brittany Stanley, Linda Rubino, and Rory Manson shot footage of and participated in the first annual “All Hands on Deck” project, which is a public service day initiated and organized by the Alexandria Economic Opportunities Commission. In 2011, the EOC's “All Hands on Deck” selected the Alexandria Community Shelter for a one-day makeover. About 100 volunteers and over two dozen donors made the remarkably hot July public service day possible. Double R interns conducted interviews with organizers and participants and captured volunteers digging and drilling on site. After production, the interns made a big difference by helping with painting and landscaping. Their "All Hands on Deck" video  is posted on the City of Alexandria's web site.
